Chicken Parmigiana

4 x Magic Taste Schnitzels of your choice

600g Shredded Tasty/Mozzarella Cheese

Grated Parmesan Cheese (optional)

Dried or Fresh herbs of your choice – we recommend Basil and Chives


For the Sauce
1 Medium Brown Onion Diced

2 Garlic Cloves (minced)

30ml Olive Oil

1 Jar Tomato Passata

Salt, Pepper and Dried Oregano to taste


Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan forced).

Place schnitzels onto a lined baking tray.

Place tray in oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown, turn half way through.

Heat the olive oil on a high heat setting in a medium sized saucepan and add the onion and garlic. Stir for one minute while frying.

Next add the tomato passata, a pinch of salt and pepper and stir through. Reduce heat to low and place lid on the saucepan. Simmer for 10-15minutes until sauce has thickened.

Spoon the sauce onto precooked Schnitzels. Next top generously with cheese and sprinkle herbs of your choice on top.

Place schnitzels back into preheated oven until cheese is melted. Approximately for a further 5-10minutes.

Remove from oven and top with grated parmesan and extra herbs.

Serve with your favourite sides and enjoy!
